TDSO is pleased to begin a new partnership with the Lao Child and Youth Development Association (LaoCYDA) to support teacher development in Laos. Building on more than ten years of experience in Cambodia, TDSO will work alongside LaoCYDA to strengthen second language teaching and classroom practice through practical, context-based approaches. The partnership reflects a shared commitment to improving education quality and supporting teachers through long-term collaboration, professional development, and sustainable learning opportunities for schools and communities across Laos.

TDSO is pleased to welcome Mr Chheng Menghorng as our new English Teacher Trainer. His appointment strengthens our capacity to support teachers through high-quality professional development and practical classroom-focused training. As TDSO continues to expand its programmes and reach more schools, Menghorng’s expertise and commitment will contribute to improving teaching and learning outcomes. We are excited to have him join the team and look forward to the valuable contributions he will make in supporting teachers and learners across Cambodia.

TDSO is pleased to welcome Mr Lot Tola as our new Junior Full-Stack Developer. He joins the Edubox development team to support the creation and long-term maintenance of TDSO’s mobile learning platform for primary school teachers. His role will help strengthen the organisation’s digital capacity as Edubox expands to serve teachers across Cambodia. We look forward to his contribution in advancing innovative technology solutions that improve access to quality teaching resources and professional development opportunities nationwide.

For the first time, students at TDSO Practice School took part in a Mock Debate Competition, demonstrating growing confidence in English communication, critical thinking, and teamwork. Through presenting arguments, responding to different viewpoints, and speaking before an audience, students developed valuable skills that extend beyond the classroom. This engaging learning experience highlights TDSO Practice School’s commitment to nurturing confident communicators and future leaders. TDSO welcomed 21 visitors, including partner organisations, school principals, and alumni teachers, for an exposure visit to the TDSO Practice School and Prey Chrouk Primary School. The visit highlighted how TDSO-trained teachers apply the Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) approach in real classroom settings. Through classroom observation and professional reflection, participants explored how student-centred teaching supports active learning, confidence, and engagement among primary school students, while strengthening cooperation to improve the quality of English education in Cambodia.

Students at the TDSO Practice School recently participated in a Mock Debate Competition, confidently presenting their ideas and demonstrating critical thinking, teamwork, and English public speaking skills. The activity reflected the practical impact of active learning approaches and student-centred teaching methods promoted through TDSO’s teacher training programmes. TDSO’s M&E and Research Officer, Vitou Tes, has been featured in Cambodianess for his analysis of Cambodia’s English education challenge. The article highlights the importance of investing in teacher training, classroom resources, and equitable access to quality education. TDSO continues to support this mission through nationwide teacher development programmes conducted in partnership with schools and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MoEYS).

TDSO is seeking a Junior Full-Stack Developer to support the development and long-term maintenance of Edubox, a mobile learning platform designed for Cambodian primary school teachers. The role includes working with a Phnom Penh-based development agency during the initial build phase, followed by relocation to Siem Reap Province for ongoing platform management. Candidates with foundational experience in Laravel, Flutter or React Native, mobile offline functionality, and database systems are encouraged to apply. The position offers long-term growth within a mission-driven education technology environment.
